Heh.  Dragonball Z.  That's pretty accurate.  I was thinking "Superman
2" but I think you've got it nailed.

I liked the parts where they were, you know, *fighting*.  "I know
kung-fu" etc.  The parts where they were flying around and running into
each other like drunken Supermen playing chicken was, well, "a drawn out
exercise in special effects" is as good a summary as any.

Agreed.  It was fun to watch, even if it ultimately felt hollow.  The
soundtrack, particularly the operatic techno-backed fight music, was
wonderful.   And I can always go back to the first one when I need that
"scrawny hacker kicks ass" boost to my ego.
