Years ago there was a wonderful satire columnist in the SF Chronicle named Art Hoppe. As reports on harmful foods began to fill the news, he did a great column on the only "good" food left was one particular variety of kelp (seaweed), and everything had to be processed out of that. (Note that this was before sushi became popular.)
