My Dad, aunts and Uncles all buy one gift for $20 then the when the whole
family gets together they play musical gifts. Sit in a circle with the gift
you bought and start playing the music passing the gift to the sibling next
to them.

It works out well Ronny, Bobby, John, Sheryl, Susan, George, Larry,
Christopher, bill and Oliver each get one gift.

The vote is out on whether I'm a humbug or a grinch.

I don't exchange gifts w/ anyone any more, so my Christmas haul was
nothing.
My siblings and I were brought up putting emphasis on the time we spent
together as opposed to gifts.  We cut out gift exchange a few years
ago.  We're all at a self-sufficient point.  Anything that lies in the
"affordable" price range we go out and buy.  Other things are so
specialized (Like Guitar Gear or computer equipment) that no one can pick
it out but me.  There are so few things on my "want" list under $500.

I did get to spend Christmas Eve w/ my parents and brother.  Christmas
day w/ my gf and her family.  It was all as relaxing as spending time w/
family can be.  ( When are you going to get a real job; when are you going
to cut your hair, etc.. )
I bought myself a video camera last month.  That is my closest thing to a
Christmas present I got.  :-)
