For the record, phpBB is a group of individuals that more than likely
have full time jobs and have taken it upon themselves to start a hobby
called phpBB.

>From their website:

"phpBB are a group of individuals based internationally who believe in
opensource software. The project has been stable since its creation in
June 2000 without changes in licencing, leadership or corporate
associations. Our goals remain unchanged and clear, to continue
developing and supporting a stable, free, opensource forum system."

Now anyone can get into this type of an open-source project and offer
something for free, but I've seen it start time and time again within
the CF community and all that happens is it dies a slow painful death
because people don't have the time as they struggle to make a living.

It's hard task to get together dedicated people that want to stick to
something. For no money.
