naw.  too simple.  she doesnt use a hub very often.  She has a laptop and likes to go to internet cafes with wireless.  How about i put a USB flash key/drive inside the bear.  That way the bear can be used for storage!

or...

How about this.....is it possible.......
I have an exe. program in the USB flash keychain inside the bear, and when it's plugged in, the program runs and does something (log onto a website or something)

Turn it into a hub.  Grab a Linksys hub from somewhere, and take it
apart.  Run the connectors that make the ACK LED's blink from the built
in lights to a couple of LED's you put in the teddy bear's eyes.  Then,
every time network traffic goes through the bear, it blinks at you
  demonically.

  >Hey guys, one time i came across this page where this guy cut up open a teddy bear and put a computer into it (small form factor).  The power cord fitted right into the tail, and the computer could be turned on by pressing its paw.  He made it for his girlfriend.  I would like to do something similar, but mabye something less expensive and a little easier.  Since i've been crimping RJ-45 cables lately, i wanted to do something network related.  But I dunno what!!  I was thinking of something like a teddy bear with a Cat5 cable sticking out of it to be plugged into the computer or network hub, and the bear does something.  Like, maybe display network info in a small LCD display panel "sewed" right onto its tummy.  Well you get the idea!
