No, the XBox is a console that happens to use PC-like technology. In fact
though, the processor that's in the Xbox is proprietary to the Xbox, as is
the nVidia graphics chip. So we're in agreement here too - I said it was
BASED on PC tech, not that it used EXACTLY PC tech.
Do you actually read anything at all. Or do you like being a twit. One
minute you are saying the phatom will use PC Technology, and now your saying
it will be using PC Like technology. The CPU in the xbox is 733mhz pentium
III, let me see hmm the PC uses the Intel Pentium III as a technology. The
PC uses graphics cards that are 3rd party that could also be used in any
platform that uses AGP, based on the nVidia. The Xbox also uses the GeForce
3, nVidia chipset as a graphics card.
The central processing unit, and the graphics card ARE not PC technology
they are 3rd party devices that the PC can use as well as Mac's, Sun
Microsystems, and any other Computer that has this expansion bus. Even my
Amiga 4000 could use these cards or technology, except the AGP as it didn't
have an AGP expansion bus.

Me: Let me see the price of the PS1 was very expensive when it came out, the
PS2 and Xbox also was very expensive when they were released and dropped as
time went on as the demand got higher. The phantom will more than likely
follow, the PS3 and Xbox 2 will be around the same price the phantom will be
when they get released too. WHAT the HELL is your point here.

to you that all of these consoles where expensive when they were first

and PC well technically I bought it for my girlfriend on the PC who also
bought it for me on the xbox.

always an upgrade path. When I had my Playstation 2 stolen, I bought myself
an Xbox and had to buy all the games I loved on that platform, that is my
choice to do that. It is also my choice if I purchase the games on my Xbox
rather than my PC.... DO YOU ACTUALLY LISTEN to any conversation at all.

had no track record, but had an dodgy product now they develop software for
other consoles and platforms.
Sony has a highly recognizable brand name, along with tons of money to
support their initiative into the console market. What does Infinium have?
And that means that they will always be succesful does it, let me see
Segahas plenty of money has a name and wasn't successful in the console
market, they are huge when it comes to Arcade machines but I guess you had
forgotten that fact too.

Ok, so they good market share in ONE country. The Xbox was/is a total,
complete flop in Japan. And Japan's population is 130 mil versus 19 mil in
Australia. You have a very small population.

The next Generation 64bit PC will not run all PC games, it will not be 100%
backward compatible so does that mean I should not buy it because I use my
software, I will be forced to buy new versions of Photoshop and Windows XP
(to get the benefit of the speed) again you open your mouth before thinking.
Phil mentioned that IF the Phantom could play ALL PC games, and I said that
it couldn't. So we're in agreement.
Oh I forgot you are a hacker who gets things for nothing anyway, so you
don't spend this extra money on updating and moving forward.
