You know, reading any of the myriad articles about this you would think that most of the folks that work in that building would be dead within 72 hours, but that's not the case. The bit you hear most often is "a milligram of ricin, about the size of the head of a pin, is enough to kill an adult." What you _don't_ hear, and I only heard today on NPR, was that the ricin is only that lethal when _injected_. The guy on NPR said to get a fatal dose of ricin by inhaling, you would have to inhale a large quantity (although he did not quantify how much "large" was.) While I do not mean to lessen the possible severity of a ricin attack, it looks to me like another chapter of "YOU MUST BE TERRIFIED" journalism. Just my .02.

>The anthrax scare was perpetrated by people within the United States,
>and the link between that and 9/11 was never made.
>
>I wonder what's behind this Ricin, which is supposedly more dangerous.
>It must be very difficult to get poisoned from these powders, however,
>since no one appears to have been affected by this Ricin incident.
