Dear Tim @twhiteaker I think the `grid_mapping_name` should be `lambert_azimuthal_equal_area`, which is listed in CF Appendix F. The `grid_mapping_name` is a controlled vocabulary, whereas the `projected_crs_name` can be anything you choose. Maybe that's where you could record "NSIDC_EASE_Grid_North"? Jonathan
