Hi @mjbrodzik, I'm think our data are in [EPSG 3408](https://epsg.io/3408). Our data use the original EASE Grid North (yep, authalic sphere-based) at 25 km resolution. At [NSIDC's EASE Grid Page](https://nsidc.org/ease/ease-grid-projection-gt), you can scroll down and click the 25 km tab to see where they identify the projection as "Northern Hemisphere, Lambert Azimuthal (EPSG: 3408)". Representing this in modern WKT would be a step in the right direction, and I'm also trying to make sure I've represented it correctly using traditional CF attributes.
