Thanks to @marqh I am learning all kinds of useful tricks, I didn't know about
projinfo, that is a very useful tool.
One note to @twhiteaker, please do not start referring to the original
EASE-Grids with anything with a version number, like "version 1.0 " or "1.0".
When we wrote the definition for EASE-Grid 2.0, we realized our mistake in not
giving a version to the original one ("whyever would anyone need to revise such
a thing?"). People had been using the original EASE-Grids for almost 20 years
and the definitions had never included a version number. We decided that the
original definitions should be referred to with no version number, and that the
newer version should always be referred to as "EASE-Grid 2.0", and then left
room for potential newer revision numbers after that.
