Missing data is disallowed in coordinate variables. (First paragraph of section 2.5.1.) Do bounds variables inherit that restriction as well? I would presume so, but maybe someone has a counter-example. Either way, it may be worth spelling out explicitly.
In any case, I think there shouldn't be any `missing_value` and `_FillValue` attributes on coordinate variables to inherit, since they would be superfluous at best.
