Sure, but that was why I specifically said (emphasis added):
"MS is the only database vendor with a relevant marketshare that doesn't 
offer JDBC drivers free for download for *all* of their databases."

The better question is probably why anybody would want to use one of 
those for powering a website. But the fact of the matter is that a great 
deal of people do so, and that has apparently triggered Macromedia to 
supply drivers for them.
Would be nice though if Macromedia provided the option of buying CF MX 
without those drivers at a discount :-)
