Are you running CFMX Enterprise or Pro? We are running CFMX pro on Win2K and WinXP against an Oracle 8.1.5 & .7 databases and have not had any trouble with connections. We use the Oracle jdbc thin driver. The trick to using the Oracle thin driver is to use the 9.2.0.1 version. (Even though we are running an Oracle 8.x database, the 9.2.0.1 driver is backward compatible and is the only one that works.) No ideas on why the your system would be loosing the database coonection. Have you applied the CFMX updater 2?
