While there can be some tweaking of code between CF5 and CFMX, it's minor.
Most issues we've run into are the difference between the way Java and CF5
do things. For us, the flexibility of CFMX over CF5 far outweighs the work
it's taken to port CF5 apps to CFMX. Frankly, the only thing we've had to
tweak so far are our calls using CFLDAP and maybe a SQL query or two. It's
been relatively minor.

You have to realize that CF5 and prior to CFMX is a complete change in
paradigm for ColdFusion. The increase in functionality you get with CFMX is
why you change. If your upgrading just to upgrade, there is no reason to do
what you are doing. CF5 runs fine. Why bother? But if you want to tap
into the abilities that CFMX give you - web services, java applications
co-existing and coordinating, components, etc, then it's a small sacrifice
to do the tweaking to take your applications to the next level.

Are you testing now or did you go straight to the upgrade on your production
server(s).

Dave
