Alex, On the contrary, the little playing I've done with MX makes me really happy. Imagine - a compiled language where all I have to do to compile my code is browse it? How cool is that? I would guess that most people that come from a more traditional programming background would also find this a nice feature. Granted, it's different from CF5, and it might take a smidge longer to develop, but the added features and access to java goodies that you get with MX far outweigh the little hassle of waiting for the compiler to finish its job.
