Well, if you don't disagree with the tests, why would you doubt the results?

Remember that CF MX is a new product, not an upgrade of an existing product.
So, yes, there are lots of differences in what you might define as optimal
code. Lots of things that would be bad to do in CF 5 don't seem to be as bad
(or bad at all) in CF MX. I would guess that the reverse is true in some
cases as well. It will take a while for all of these things to be figured
out to a satisfactory degree.

Server tuning, on the other hand, is a little different - it takes your
existing codebase and finds the optimal server configuration for that
codebase. So, general server tuning methodologies shouldn't change much, if
at all, I think - you load test, change a setting, load test again, and see
which worked better.

Yes, to a certain degree, this is true - for all of us. But that's not a
terrible thing, necessarily. You might know how to comfortably drive a
Hyundai, but you'd be willing to get comfortable with a Mercedes, wouldn't
you? (I don't intend that to be a perfect analogy, just the one that came to
mind.)
