If you were writing software, would it even occur to you to test on a 16
color graphics card? Where would you even _find_ one?
Do you also need to test for lightpens? IBM XT's without a clock built
in? Windows 2.0?
I think it's amazing they _found_ and _fixed_ that error!
(And I bet it is being told to every programmer they know as the latest
"You'll never guess what a user did to me today" story)
If you consider that a fatal error which Macromedia should feel bad
about, you should immediately get out of the computer industry, because
those types of issues are _everywhere_.
(And you are welcome in advance for the business and career advice)
