Why do you have to 'think about it' then? Why can't they just come out and
say that, if indeed that's their position?

Besides, if they offered support in the form of a vast amount of their
other support - forums, tech docs, etc - then it shouldn't matter *how*
many people fiddle with the trial and want to poke around such support docs
for more info. All that is is a matter of bandwidth.
