with Jrun 4.0, that there are three types of servers that
will run:
ADMIN Server - mainly for the Java Management Console
CFUSION Server - self explanatory
DEFAULT Server - ??
So my questions are as follows:
What is the Default server used for?
If we are only running a Cfusion application on this
box, do I need to have the default server running?
If I am not using the JMC, do I need the admin server
running?
I am looking at cutting down on the performance overhead
we have on the server.
We have had a problem with multiple instances of JRUN.EXE
running in the Windows Task Manager and JRUN eating up
the CPU utilization causing us to reboot the server.
I have looked over the note from Macromedia in regards to
multiple instances of Jrun services
http://www.macromedia.com/support/jrun/ts/documents/jmc_service.htm
We are only using the Windows Services Management Console to
shutdown/restart services.
We have applied the latest Jrun updater (Updater 3), I know Updater
4 is coming soon but not went that far yet.
Also in CFMX, we have applied the latest Updater 3 as well as the
two latest hot fixes Article 19536 and 19590.
Still trying to find out when our CPU Utilization ever so often
climbs so high, we have to reboot.
The hot fixes were applied today so I will monitor it and see what
happens, but curious
if I need the default server from Jrun.
TIA!!
