we have it there showing "Microsoft SQL Server".
It is also listed in the ODBC console (control panel)
and it shows the datasource name and then the driver being:
SQL Server not Microsoft SQL Server just SQL Server.
We have installed the latest ColdFusion MX 6.1 Updater
along with the two hot fixes:
Hot fix article 19536 - dated 09/02/2004
Hot fix article 19590 - dated 10/01/2004
So in light of this, how can I go about determining which
drivers the ODBC connection is truly using?
Thanks again!

If you're using the "Microsoft SQL Server" driver within your CFMX
datasource, you're not using ODBC at all. In that case, you're using the
DataDirect drivers provided by MM. If you haven't installed any of the
CFMX
6.1 hotfixes, or CFMX 6.1 Updater 1, then you're not using the latest
version of those.
Off the top of my head, I'm not sure whether the SQL Server JDBC driver
from
Microsoft works with SQL Server 7.
