Well then what would be your argument as to what language to write your .net
apps in. You have like 20 odd to choose from, from VB to cobol. Bluedragon
just gives you CFML is just another language choice.

I know when we looked at BD.NET it was/is that our CMS is in .NET and all
our plugins will be in .NET.  It was potentially a way to keep old
ColdFusion code and also use .NET.  The consensus however was - why bother
with ColdFusion at all we may as well do it all in .NET.

The internet is in a battle - J2EE and .NET and if you read between the
lines, .NET is winning.  All this fancy crap (Flex) which Adobe is pumping
out of the stable instead of fixing issues and competing is only driving
more and more people to .NET.

That's why I stated it's an opinion. There is no way anyone could possibly
research every reason each company does what decision, but the few that have
been mentioned have been that they are moving to BlueDragon.NET to
transition completely to .NET, so as I said, it was my opinion.
