Still down here. Really sucks, as Mondays are typically my busiest day. >I'd create new virtualized systems that are >not in use, making sure they run properly first, before updating any >live virtualized systems. Doing that with virtualized systems wouldn't >involve more hardware, etc., so the cost should be minimal and would >most certainly cut down on production disruption. Yup, I do find it hard to believe that better planning could not have prevented this. He did mention when I talked to him on the phone yesterday that part of the issue was in the SWSoft upgrade process that did not have proper rollback methods so a quick backup restore was not possible...yet another reason why as you say such things really should tested thoroughly first. I do know he had SWSoft techs there to help with the upgrades and in case anything went wrong...but clearly that is not helping all that much. >Are you sites down or is it just that your VCP isn't accessible? I'm completely down, no RD, no sites coming up, no email since that's hosted from the server as well. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;160198600;22374440;w Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/message.cfm/messageid:299278 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.4
