CFML is thought of as a "toy" language now by that camp. Why would someone who wants to write in an OO environment consider CF at all? For that matter, CF has been thought of as a toy since its inception; everybody who used something else was always happy to disparage CF in favor of (Java/ASP/PHP/Perl/fill-in-the-blank). And, CF has almost always been a better solution than those alternatives. I'm happy to continue playing with CF, as long as it can be used to deliver solutions better, faster, and cheaper than the competition.
