I am soooo excited about the role XML will be taking with future flavours of
CFx. So with your insider knowledge the future for WDDX as it stands (and
indeed its future dev) is safe for as you say b/w scripting.?
What about the original Allaire Roadmap with regards to the now Macromedia
Product range? Have you any plans for a content management based system like
Spectra, or even to intergrate with Sitespring? i.e one that can easily be
manipulated like Spectra was; you guys have been pretty quiet about this....
I must admit I was saddened by Spectras 'demise' but I was overly excited by
the MM/Allaire merger; but to to hear you talk about the future of CF gives
me the confidence to charge ahead at an even higher speed with CF
development!!!
I was always looking for a Spectra Studio / or even an New Macromedia XML
Studio (though I am sure you guys at MM can come up with an even better,
snazzier name! ;-)
Why the move away from Objects stored in WDDX format? Was it a performance
thing? or was it a smar choice due to market shift re: SOAP et al?
