Not sure if this is what the problem is, but can't be assed re-reading the problem.

Off the bat, if your object works in CFMX ok (ie createObject etc) but doesn't when you play with WebServices, then edit you're jrun-web.xml *think its this one, one of em neway* and add a virtual path.

We found this worked when mucking around with SOAP.

If that didn't help, ignore me and continue onwards.

Initially I was referencing all my CFC's as
createObject("component","MySite.model.CFCName") (they all live in the model
directory), but I found this broke when I used web services as you describe.
So I ended up just using createObject("component","CFCName").

Hope that helps - I don't know how to traverse directories - or whether that
would even work.
