No, I don't see how you can do this, please enlighten me, give me the
solution and I will be eternally grateful.

I do not see how you can call any session, application or other persistent
scope without first calling the <cfapplication> tag which you normally put
in the application.cfm

Unless you want to stick it in the server scope, which again brings about
problems of its own.
