I'd
like some help. I'd like to know how others deal with the issue of data typing
with CFCs. CF is weakly typed -- and yet we have types for arguments and
returntypes for methods. Let's take a class as as I'd write it in
Java.
public
class Office{
Boss boss = null;
// constructor and other methods
public Boss getBoss(){
return
this.boss;
}
}
Even
if boss is never set, I can return null and it will fullfill the "Boss" type
declared in getBoss. But I can't do this in CF, since there is no null. Of
course, one course would be to not declare any types for return/argument
values. I don't much like that, though. Does anyone have any ideas on handling
this situation?
