The article was written many years ago. Since then, fit for residue is
documented, and we have extended integers and q: . I suggest documenting
the new stuff in footnotes, see
http://www.jsoftware.com/jwiki/Doc/Articles/Play171 , and perhaps Ian
can make any editorial changes in content.
