I modified the J myinit.ijs and added file type ijs to start J resulting in clicking any file of type ijs to run it without the ijx window. It comes up very quickly, faster than most exe files. I can create a shortcut to the file to make a pretty icon on the screen if I wish. To me that is almost as good as having an exe file.
