As I stated earlier in this thread, I use gmail
primarily. I have found it inconvenient/awkward to determine
when a message is addressed directly to me and not to the
forum, especially when the message is part of an existing
"conversation" which in gmail means that it is part of a
single entry in the list of inbox messages. In contrast, in
In gmail, when a message is not part of an existing
conversation and is not from the forum, then the filter I
have set for forum messages attach a distinctive label to
the conversation, and I can see that the conversation
relates to J forum. pine messages are not listed in
conversations and each one has a + symbol if it is addressed
to me and not a group, so I can easily see messages directed
to me alone.
Is there something I am missing in gmail that either
automatically does what I want, or can be achieved by a
setting?
