Raul, I use filters, too, to put labels on the messages and to direct some to individual folders in pine.
There are three ways to "remove them from the inbox": archive them (y key ), delete them(# key ), or ignore them (they disappear from my inbox when I open my pine POP and become archived automatically; for you they may disappear in some other event) , right? I never use the explicity archive mode because they are automatically archived when they are passed to a non-inbox folder in pine. If they are sent to pine's inbox, then I have to open them there or send them on to another pine folder, in order for them to be archived and disappear from the gmail inbox. When do your messages disappear from your gmail inbox? I assume if you do not delete them then gmail is archiving them.
