I have mixed feeling about this idea.

On the other hand, I don't know if the Cherokee Wiki is the best
place for it. Even if we try hard to make the comparison as fair as
possible, there will be people wondering if it is just some kind of
advertising. It would also be difficult to keep it neutral, I
wouldn't like to touch some stories about some of those server which
eventually may hurt some feeling.
It's impossible not to hurt someone's feelings somewhere. So I'm not
sure you should be too worried about that.
I think it's better to focus on not *purposefully* hurting someone
else's feelings.
I think a comparison page on the wiki would be fine if:
* We don't say: "Hey look at this, Cherokee is awesome and all these
others suck. Cherokee r0x0rz! w00t!"
* Stay away from subjective statements like: "Cherokee is better
because it's easier to configure"[1]
* Publish exactly how we derived the benchmarks so that they can be
trivially reproduced by others
* Note that some information may be out of date and solicit help in
keeping it current.
I have no doubt that there will areas in which other web servers beat
Cherokee. This isn't a sign of their superiority or Cherokee's
weakness. It's a simple statement of fact and perhaps illustrates the
different directions of the web servers.
If the point of the page is to provide information and not make a
judgment, then I think we'll be fine. If that's the case and someone
does get their feeling hurt, then they are wankers.
It is indeed a good idea, but I'm not sure about the political side.
I'd love to listen other people opinions on it :-)

[1] I personally think that both apache and lighttpd's configurations
suck and that is a big reason why I like Cherokee.
