I run about 2800 RPM at 65 and about 3000 at 70. I have a 2500 stall behind
a 500 HP 454. I am running 275 60 15 rear tires. Believe it or not I
actually get fairley good gas mileage on the highway about 14-15 mpg. Also
keep in mind that it is a true 4.10 gear with tires that are 26 inches tall
(Someone please correct me if I'm wrong). Any tire which is taller will cut
down on the gear ratio. You may want to think about a 3.73 gear. This is
just an opinion but I think they are more of an all purpose gear. Gives you
holeshot ability and keeps the rpms lower if you plan on doing alot of
highway travel
