Hi everybody,
We are running a powerglide (all aftermarket) in the
Super-comp dragster as well. best ET is around 7,60 sec,
altrough we just run 8,90.
Powerglides are fine for racing because they steal less
power, they are relatively light and are really consistent
in their performance.
I think that it is possible to run faster with more gears
(pro stockers, and pro mods run 5 speed liberies an
lencos).
because they stay around peak HP all the time, but losses
are higher than a PG/TH.
When I ask my friend why he dont go for a 5 speed, he says:
I have enough HP to run fast enough anyway.
What do you think ??
What are the funnies and top metanols running ??
