And then you should really have the engine harness for electric choke. I had this painful realization when the guy from M&H asked me if I had manual or electric choke. Too bad I had already run the motor. Otherwise I would have returned the manual choke carb and gotten an electric choke model and then the electric choke harness. Oh well, too late now. Doesn't matter once it's warmed up anyway, which is only a few minutes. BTW, on the Edelbrock Performer, the EGR blockoff plate is designed to create a little shelf area for the coil-type choke thermostat to sit on. I may try to hook up one of those so I can automatic choke. I have those on both of my Olds and then work fine, even if they are primitive. I've never seen any external gadget that converts a manual choke carb to electric. I'd like to see that. -----Original Message----- Good news.
