Be very careful with solvents or paint removers in areas such as a trunk. The solvents in these products are very strong. The vapors are dangerous to breathe, and with a project like this you tend to spend a lot of time with your head in the trunk. The fumes are also easily ignited. Vapors tend to concentrate in an area like a trunk because they are heavier than air. If you use solvents or strippers be careful. Use your head and make sure you keep everything well ventilated. Sorry, the safety oriented auto paint rep in me keeps surfacing.
