I am currently dissambling a newly acquired 12 bolt rear end. I know this may sound stupid but i cant figure out how to get the axle/drum assembly out of the housing. At the end of the housing there is a lip where the axle connects to the drum assembly and there are some type of clips there. Can these be removed or is there another way to go about removing them. Any help would be appreciated. I am also removing 3.58 gears from the housing which came out of a '70 Chevelle SS if anyone might be interested in buying it.
