i say if its just engine and trans it is a good deal. from any of the major suppliers you can buy a full seat cover set (about $200.00). i say $5000.00 will buy you  a decent motor and trans  setup. only you can decide if you want the car. to me if the car was done right $7500.00 is cheap. if just the trany and engine are gone. what kind of tires and wheels are on it? Is the drive line there. what would a stock hood cost? Now would be the time since it was just repainted to fix the hood problem.
