Althrough I havent seen the car I think its expensive, if you need an engine and a trans PLUS all the small parts like brakets hoses,  starter,  alternator, clutch linkage and ..this list could go on and on.   I would consider a complete car in that way you can keep the engine if you like it or sell the engine, keep brackets and stuff and build a new engine.   unless the car is in excellent shape and it is a "must have" for you.   anyway consider spending the same amount on engine, trans etc.   Andr� -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Craig & Cerena Robertson Sent: 16. januar 2002 14:13 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Chevelle-List] Should I buy I'm stuck.  A friend of mine wants to sell a 68 Chevelle SS.  The body and everything was just redone.  New paint etc.  It needs an engine and transmission, it's a 4 speed.  The only think I don't like about it, is the hood, which has a six inch rise in it and the interior, in which they put a red velvet strip in the center of the seats.  He'll sell to me for $7,500.  Can anyone give me advise.  Is this a good deal or what. Thanks.    Craig
