I know there have been a lot of posts about the V6 engine being good. I
agree that the 4.3 was a good motor, had one in an astro van that had
140,000 miles on it when I sold it. But personally I just don't like a V6 in
a full size truck. I've driven a few & I owned a F**d F150 with a 300
straight six. It was a good dependable engine but just didn't have the
torque & hp of a V8. I'll never own another truck that doesn't have a V8.
You should look for a Dakota with a V8, best of both worlds for a daily
driver pickup.
