I'd keep on looking for the Elky if it were me. The 4.3's are better than the old 2.8's, but nothing is easier to work on than a 350 and even though the mileage is not as good, it'll be more fun. I rarely see one for sale here, but I've seen a ton of 'em on Collector Car Trader.com....most of them in the SW....rust free. I almost bought a '79 SS I found in Oklahoma....just missed it....$4000... Kelly C.
