Basically yes they are the same. BUT ..... About 1987 chevy changed the arrangement of the bolts that hold the intake manifold to the heads. In order to make the 327 intake manifold work it will need enlargement of the center bolt holes. I'm not sure of how much or how precise this needs to be. I don't know if this is a D-I-Y project or not. You may want to check with the shop that sold the manifold or an automotive machine shop. I BELIEVE that the bolt angle is only slightly different, but don't know first hand. > Were there any design changes to the heads during those 25yrs to > accommodate> smog equipment that I should know about ?. and will they run Good > on the> 327 block or vise versa?? The 350 heads MAY have larger combustion chambers than the 327 heads. If so, it will lower the compression. It may only be a slight amount and not be noticeable in the seat of your pants. On the other hand it may be quite a bit and cause you to lose a significant amount of power. Sorry I can't be exact, but you should be able to find definite answers either locally or from this list or the NET Sounds like you can be proud of your son. rick schaefer 72 El Camino http://members.home.net/jimmy4/rick1972elky.html TPI 350-700r4 http://chevelles.com/showroom/ricks%20motor%20-L Team Chevelle # 0038 ACES #0140 > He's put in a new Cam, lifters, push rods, HEI ignition, headers, 4 > barrel > Edlebrock, and High performance manifold.
