To answer almost all of your what goes where questions, I highly recommend 
that you obtain a Factory Assembly Manual.  This is an valuable source of 
info when restoring a car.  It tell you where are the wires, hoses, and lines 
are routed, which screws and clips to use where, part numbers, etc.  
Basically how everything was put together by the factory.  When assembling my 
El Camino, I was constantly referring to it.
