The problem with using sand is it can warp and work-harden body panels which ruins them. Sandblasting a car takes an expert that really knows his stuff and those people with the expertise are uncommon. I just wouldn't do it. Even if it costs a little more,the other methods will ensure a good job. This is not a good place to be scrimping on money.
