I brought all my lose parts that I can carry like hood, fenders, trunk lid,
rad support, inner fenders, to a shop.
He has a huge room where he blasts somthing that looks like baking soda. He
said it's a his own special mix. He wears a full spaceman suit when he is in
there blasting. The cost was $500.00 and well worth it in my opinion. The
parts came back 100 per cent bare metal and no damage. I was going to bring
the body shell to him but with new quarters on and car has vinyl roof so was
not that much to blast compared to a lot of work to bring the body to him. I
should have planned better and gave him the whole body. I did some of my own
blasting with sand but will not do that again. They say the sand silica is
very bad for your lungs.
