Actually you should NEVER use silica sand to sandblast. It is stated
plainly on every bag of silica sand. Although this doesn't stop many
guys that don't want to pay for more expensive media and think they're
invincible. There are many other types of media that are much more
effective and much safer (this by no means negates the need for
respiratory protection) I personally like slag (Black Beauty) but like
the others say this is too harsh for body work.
