When I said it was a "frivolous" hobby that was a joke. Hobbies are supposed to be frivolous, or at any rate, you're not supposed to worry about whether or not they are practical. For 5 years I have not worried about how much I spent on cars, and I've enjoyed them the whole time. I'm not begrudging the money because it has been fun and has helped me to keep my mind off other things. Right now I live in an apartment and rent garages though. It costs me $300/month in rent just to garage 2 cars. I also have to work on my cars in the street, and anything I start has to be finished in time to put the car away.
Anyway, I still love the old cars and I have bought and sold plenty of them over the years, and there isn't a single one that I feel I shouldn't have sold. As someone else said, the important thing is to enjoy them while you have them. So, back to your regular programming. I guess I just got a big reaction because of the El Camino just being painted. I'm not the first person on this list to write in to say that I want to sell my car, and I didn't think it would cause such a ruckus.
