Graham, I would recommend that you get your wiring harness from M&H (wiringharness.com) because they will run down a list with you of options that the car has (manual or electric choke, A/C, internal regulator, etc.) and make sure that you get the right thing.
You may also want to invest in a portable ignition box. I have one and it's the greatest. I have been running my El Camino off of one. I haven't installed the new wiring harnesses yet and the old ones were cut out. the ignition box is also a lifesaver if you ever get stuck with an ignition problem. I don't remember who made mine but I'll get the name off of it this weekend when I'm working on the car.
