I would think that the wires from the remote starter are too small to handle the current required to start the motor..
If I understand their operation correctly, the battery cable still needs to be connected to the starter solenoid, and the push button set-up connects on one end to the battery, and on the other end to the starter solenoid "s" terminal... then again, maybe I'm not understanding the question correctly...
