I think it was Hot Rod about 3-5 months ago had the editor write on this concept on the little editoral page in the front of the mag (I thought it was hilarious as I think the car mags out there, especially hot rod and car craft played a big part in hyping up this concept). It was one of the best articles I ever read. Talked about how some many Pro-touring cars were becoming much like the Pro-street cars of the 80's that most of them dispise so much. He talked about how many were simply trailer queens and show rides... a far cry from being a daily driver/strip/road course car. He commented how they looked nice but were posting very Honda-like times at the strip and still getting wasted by a sock 3rd gen f-body, none to less a vette at the road course.
I dunno, Maybe I'm just getting old. One man's junk is another man's treasure right?
